COUNSELOR AIDE

LOCATION/PROGRAM:                 Columbia County

CLASSIFICATION:                         Part-Time Non-Exempt

WAGE:                                                $7.50Per Hour

HOURS:                                              Overnight Shift

SHIFT 1:                                             Sunday - Wednesday 11:00 P.M. - 7:30 A.M.

GENERAL DUTIES:                         Assist in overnight operation of the shelter and ensure safety of clients. 

QUALIFICATIONS:                          High School Diploma, 2 years experience working with families in crisis, must have well-developed oral and writing skills.   

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

Provide individual support and counseling if needed.

Maintain case records, documents, and reports.

Provide crisis intervention services and perform advocacy services through collateral agency contacts.

Promote and maintain care of residence.

Ensure safety of all residents, and ensure shelter rules and requirements. 

Work cooperatively with staff & families in promoting goal accomplishments.

Other duties as assigned relating to the sound and effective administration of the agency.
